About these terms
These terms cover this website, ternly.io, and the Ternly app at app.ternly.io. “We” and “us” mean the people who run Ternly, and “you” means you and the business you use Ternly for. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy, which says what we collect and how we use it. Questions go to aiden@ternly.io.
What Ternly does
Ternly is an AI visibility tool for SaaS products and apps. It asks AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity the questions people ask about your category and shows whether they recommend you. It audits your website, tracks your search rankings and backlinks, checks your App Store and Google Play listings, and, if you connect them, joins in your Search Console, Google Analytics and other accounts. What each plan includes is on the pricing section of the homepage.
Your account
- You sign in with Google or with a link we email you. Keep access to that account or address safe, because whoever has it can use your Ternly account.
- The details you give us should be accurate, and you must be at least 16 and able to agree to these terms for your business.
- A workspace’s owner decides who is in it. Members can see everything in the workspace, including the data from accounts connected to it.
Plans and billing
- The Free plan is free and has the limits shown on the pricing section. We may change what it includes, and we’ll tell you before a change that affects you.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, under its buyer terms. Lemon Squeezy works out and charges any sales tax or VAT that applies.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. We don’t refund part-used periods, except where the law says we must.
- If we raise the price of your plan, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- When you reach a plan’s limit, Ternly pauses the work that would go over it until the next period, or until you move up a plan or add a top-up.
Fair use
When you use Ternly, you agree not to:
- break the law, or use Ternly to harm, harass or mislead anyone;
- connect accounts, or add keys, that you aren’t allowed to use;
- try to get into other people’s workspaces or our systems, or get around the plan limits, for example by opening many free accounts;
- overload Ternly, or copy, resell or rebuild it, or scrape it, except through the features and API access we give you.
Ternly’s crawler reads only public pages, follows robots.txt and keeps to a polite speed. You’re responsible for the sites you point it at.
Your data
What you add to Ternly, and what it reads from the accounts you connect, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Ternly for you, as the privacy policy describes. Data we receive from Google APIs is used under the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements; see How Ternly uses Google user data. You can disconnect accounts and delete sites and workspaces at any time, and ask us to delete everything.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Ternly without owing you anything for them.
Other services
Ternly works with services run by other companies, such as AI assistants, Google, the app stores, Lemon Squeezy and the accounts you connect. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we can’t control what they do or whether they change or stop what Ternly relies on.
What Ternly can and can’t promise
AI answers change from one ask to the next, search rankings move, and the data Ternly shows comes from the AIs, search engines and services it reads. We work to make it accurate, but we can’t promise that it’s complete or correct, or that following Ternly’s suggestions will get you recommended or ranked. Use it as one input to your own decisions.
We aim to keep Ternly running and your data safe, but it may sometimes be down, slow or changed. To the extent the law allows, Ternly is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability to you for anything to do with Ternly is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer where those apply.
Ending your use
You can stop using Ternly and delete your workspaces at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk; where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first and give you the chance to fix it or take a copy of your data. If we ever shut Ternly down, we’ll give paying customers at least 30 days’ notice and refund any time they’ve paid for and can’t use.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we’ll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll tell workspace owners in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Ternly after that, the new terms apply.
